sleep will come eventually

the morning mist
a night of steady rainfall
covers my tired sleepless face
he tells me i look beautiful

two hungry fuzzy gooselings
early breakfast on the asphalt path
i divert from my straight line
walk around the puddle
an attempt to please
the Canadian parents

hes sleeping meters away
the perfect blend of the past
late nights, caffiene, and exams
the only time we have left with each other

the walk brings back hidden energy
sleep will be delayed
repeatition seems to be the theme of the night

delirious and emotional
i wish i was not so stuburn
he ll be gone for a year
and we ll have moved on by then
that just how things work

goose mate for life
a friend once told me
i created enough distance
safe distance from me and the gooselings
but i miscalculated what safe means
i thought like man
now angry parents approach
as i increase my pace

a warm bed and soft tunes
holding on to the moments with him
the kindness in his voice
i wish i could keep him
hopefully sleep will come soon

two horisons

on Sunday afternoon
the foxes had a feast
a feast to celebrate the summer rain
i watched from a distance
of how the clouds formed two horizons
like water and oil
the two mediums that couldnt mix

the forgotten tune

the smell of warm milky chai in the morning
lingers on til early evening
her voice on the telephone
elevating with excitement the sound of comfort
she hums that almost forgotten tune
the one i remember from my youth

a year later we meet

I had to leave you and go away but I
think about you everyday and
in the morning and the afternoon
I wish that i could see you soon

when its sung

you can write it how ever you like
but it always sounds better when it's sung

scattered mind

reflections from a scattered mind
a collection of inanimate objects
a step in the creation of order
organized disorganization
