those silly birds

Yesterday my neighbor squirrel came out to play
We ran around and made fun of the birds
Those silly birds that flew away, away to the north
Afraid of the freezing snow
Neighbor squirrel and I enjoyed the snow
Frolicking about not worrying about those silly birds
And their urges to drop their morning meal on all our events

Today I woke to a winter wonderland
I called out for my favorite squirrel
But he had gone home to snuggle in his oak tree
I remained alone, making fun of those silly birds and my neighbor squirrel
Both too afraid of the freezing snow

spring

spring is such a flirt

the moon

is not only beautiful

blue bird

this city will drain every ouch of you

never again

like the phases of water
solid ice cold
i thought i would be everlasting

nothing lasts forever you said
everything breaks down eventually
melting from its solid form

i ve changed enough
i ve lost myself in the process
watered down from my true form

you said not to worry
you ve reached a natural state
the most common form

heeding your words i ignored my intuition
i embraced the change and
allowed the flow

the days passed and i forgot about these thoughts
the air got warmer
the snow had melted
the rain had gone
and i had vaporized
little by little until
i became unrecognizable
